Barrio Brewing Company is Arizona’s oldest brewery, opening back in 1991. After nearly three decades of growth our beers have reached all corners of the state. Our taproom just outside of Downtown Tucson offers a local take on bar food with a quirky industrial atmosphere. Stop by for Happy Hour or $1 off pints whenever the train passes the pub.
100% Employee-Owned
In 2020 Barrio Brewing Co. became Arizona's first 100% Employee-Owned brewery. Our move to an ESOP company is entirely a thank you to our wonderful staff who have helped us grow over the years. Over the past three decades we have increased our footprint across Arizona and grown our family along the way. Many of our employees have been around for a decade or more of our journey! Now we are proud to pass our blessings on to those that helped us get here!

Long before we started producing beer at our brewpub, our founder Dennis Arnold was growing up in the Tucson area. After traveling to the northern part of the state for college, Dennis met Tauna and the duo kicked around the western US for a bit, until landing back in Dennis' hometown of Tucson. Barrio has been serving beers inspired by the Old Pueblo ever since. Stop by our taproom at 800 East 16th Street for wonderful food, beer, and a one of a kind atmosphere.
